1. Agreement to Terms

By accessing or using Meshi at meshi.recipes ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

Meshi is a recipe management application that helps users create, organize, and cook recipes with features including an AI-powered cooking assistant, ingredient tracking, and step-by-step guidance.

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service. By using Meshi, you represent and warrant that you meet this age requirement. If you are under 18, you must have parental or guardian consent to use the Service.

4. Account Registration

To access certain features, you must create an account. You agree to provide accurate information and keep your account credentials secure. You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.

5. Subscription Plans

Free Tier (Meshi Standard)

• Up to 10 AI assistant interactions per day
• Up to 10 saved recipes
• Core recipe management features

Paid Subscriptions (Commis, Saucier, Chef de Cuisine)

• Increased AI operations and saved recipe limits based on tier
• Additional premium features including exports, photo uploads, and more

Subscription fees are billed in advance on a monthly or annual basis. See our Refund Policy for cancellation terms.

6. SMS Communications

Meshi offers optional phone-based authentication using SMS verification codes. If you choose this method:

• You will receive a one-time SMS verification code each time you sign up or log in via phone
• SMS messages are transactional only — we will never send marketing or promotional messages via SMS
• Message and data rates may apply depending on your mobile carrier
• Message frequency: typically one (1) message per login or signup attempt
• You may opt out of SMS at any time by using email or Google sign-in instead
• Consent to receive SMS verification codes is not required to use Meshi — email and Google authentication are always available as alternatives

7. User Content

Ownership

You retain ownership of recipes and other content you create on Meshi. By using the Service, you grant us a limited license to store, display, and process your content solely to provide the Service to you.

Responsibility

You are solely responsible for your content. Do not upload content that infringes on others' intellectual property rights or violates any laws.

8. AI Assistant Usage

Our AI cooking assistant is provided to help with recipes and cooking questions. You agree:

• Not to use the AI for any purpose other than cooking and recipe-related queries
• Not to attempt to circumvent usage limits or abuse the service
• To understand that AI responses are suggestions and may not always be accurate
• Not to rely solely on AI advice for food safety or allergy information

9. Prohibited Uses

You agree not to:

• Violate any applicable laws or regulations
• Infringe on intellectual property rights of others
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service or its systems
• Use automated systems (bots, scrapers) without permission
• Interfere with or disrupt the Service or servers
• Share your account credentials with others
• Use the Service for any illegal or harmful purpose

10. Intellectual Property

The Meshi name, logo, and all original content, features, and functionality of the Service are owned by Renya Studios LLC and protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, or distribute our intellectual property without permission.

11. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR SECURE. COOKING SUGGESTIONS AND RECIPES ARE FOR INFORMATIONAL PURPOSES ONLY. ALWAYS USE PROPER FOOD SAFETY PRACTICES AND CONSULT A PROFESSIONAL FOR DIETARY OR ALLERGY CONCERNS.

12. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, Renya Studios LLC SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS OR REVENUES, WHETHER INCURRED DIRECTLY OR INDIRECTLY, OR ANY LOSS OF DATA, USE, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES RESULTING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE.

13. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Renya Studios LLC and its members, officers, and employees from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including legal fees) arising from your use of the Service, your content, or your violation of these Terms.

14. Termination

We may terminate or suspend your account at any time for violations of these Terms or for any other reason at our discretion. Upon termination, your right to use the Service will immediately cease. You may delete your account at any time through your account settings.

15. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify users of material changes by posting the updated Terms and changing the "Last updated" date. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.

16. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of North Carolina, United States, without regard to its conflict of law principles.
