What This Is

These Community Guidelines govern content you publish to the public Meshi Hub — recipes, packs, collections, comments, ratings, and your hub profile. They apply in addition to our Terms of Service. Private content stored only in your personal account is governed by the Terms of Service, not by these Guidelines.

Acceptable Behavior

• Original recipes you've created or substantially adapted, with credit where adaptation is from a known source
• Helpful comments and reviews grounded in your real cooking experience
• Respectful interaction with other cooks, including those with different skill levels, dietary needs, or cultural backgrounds
• Accurate metadata — title, ingredients, allergens, dietary tags

Prohibited Content

You may not publish content that is:

• Spam, scraped, or AI-flooded — bulk submissions, recipes copied verbatim from other sources, or low-effort AI content published at scale
• Hateful, harassing, or threatening — including content targeting people based on race, ethnicity, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability, or other protected characteristics
• Sexually explicit content involving minors — zero tolerance, will be reported to the appropriate authorities
• Infringing on copyright or other intellectual property — recipes copied without permission, copyrighted images, trademarked names used misleadingly
• Unsafe or dangerous — recipes that include toxic ingredients, severely mislabel allergens, or instruct unsafe preparation
• Deceptive or fraudulent — content designed to mislead, scam, or promote pyramid schemes / counterfeit products
• Personal data of others — phone numbers, addresses, or other identifying information of people who have not consented

Enforcement

When content violates these Guidelines, Meshi may:

• Remove or unpublish the content
• Add a warning label to the content
• Restrict your ability to publish, comment, or rate
• Suspend or terminate your account
• For illegal content, report to law enforcement as required

Repeat offenders are removed from the platform.

Reporting Content

Use the report button (flag icon) on any Hub recipe, comment, or profile to flag content that violates these Guidelines. Reports go to our moderation queue and are reviewed promptly. You can also email help@meshi.recipes if you cannot find a report button or need to report something urgent.

Appeals

If you believe content was removed in error or your account was restricted unfairly, email help@meshi.recipes with the subject "Appeal" and a description of the action you're appealing. We'll review and respond within a reasonable timeframe.
