1. What this covers

These terms govern the Meshi Creator Codes program, in which an approved creator shares a personal discount code, the people who use it get a discount on their Meshi subscription, and the creator earns a commission on what those subscribers pay. They sit on top of the Terms of Service, which continue to apply — if the two ever conflict, these terms govern the program and the Terms of Service govern everything else.

2. Eligibility

To apply you must have a Meshi account in good standing and a claimed Hub handle — your code and your public profile both hang off it. You must be old enough to enter a contract where you live, and you must apply as yourself, not on behalf of someone else.

Acceptance into the program is at Meshi's discretion. We review applications by hand and may decline one without giving a reason. Being approved does not create an employment, partnership, joint-venture or agency relationship; you are an independent participant and you may not represent yourself as speaking for Meshi.

3. Your code and the discount

On approval you choose a vanity code. Meshi issues it as a real discount on your behalf, so the people who use it see the reduced price at checkout rather than a promise of one. The discount is currently 20% off the subscriber's first 3 months. It applies to new subscribers only and cannot be combined with another offer. We may change it for future referrals under section 13; the value in force is always the one shown on the Creator Codes page and in your Creator Studio.

4. Attribution — who counts as your referral

Someone becomes your referral when they arrive through your share link or enter your code, and they stay attributed to you for 30 days afterwards. If a person clicks more than one creator's link inside that window, the most recent one counts, up until their first payment — at which point their referral is locked to that creator and does not change. A person can be referred once, ever, and you cannot refer yourself.

5. Commission

The program's current rate is 20% of what each of your referrals actually pays Meshi, for 12 months from their first payment. Your own rate and duration are recorded on your account when you are approved — they can differ from the program default, and the pair that applies to you is shown in your Creator Studio's Affiliate tab. If we change the default later, the change applies to referrals you make after it, never retroactively to referrals already earning.

• Commission is calculated on the amount actually collected, after the discount and after any tax, credit or proration — not on list price.
• A payment of zero (a trial month, or a month fully covered by credit) earns no commission.
• Commission is denominated and paid in US dollars.

6. Hold period, minimum and payout

Each commission is held for 30 days after the payment it came from, so that a refund or dispute can be settled before money moves, and the minimum balance for a payout is $25. Both are also shown on the Creator Codes page and in your Affiliate tab, and both may change under section 13.

• Once the hold has passed, a commission becomes available and joins the next payout batch — batches run monthly.
• A balance below the minimum is not paid out; it rolls forward to the next batch until it clears the minimum.
• Every batch is reviewed and approved by a person at Meshi before any transfer is sent. No payout is automatic.
• Payouts are sent through Stripe to the account you connect. You must complete Stripe's onboarding, including its identity verification, before you can be paid. Until then your earnings accrue but cannot be transferred.
• If a transfer fails — an incomplete or restricted Stripe account, for instance — the commissions stay available and are retried in a later batch.

7. Refunds, disputes and clawback

If a payment you earned commission on is refunded, charged back or disputed, the matching commission is reversed. If it has not been paid out yet, it simply comes off your balance. If it has already been paid, the reversal is deducted from your next statement, and a balance that stays negative may be invoiced. Commission earned on fraudulent, abusive or self-referred signups is reversed in full.

8. How you may promote

You may not:

• Bid on Meshi's name or trademarks in paid search, or run ads that imply you are Meshi.
• Post your code to coupon aggregators, deal-scraping sites or unsolicited email or messages.
• Use your code yourself, ask friends to sign up only for the commission, or create accounts to redeem it.
• Misrepresent what Meshi does, what it costs, or what the discount is; or use it in content that breaks our Community Guidelines.

9. Disclosure (FTC)

Whenever you share your code or link, you must clearly and conspicuously disclose that you earn a commission from it. The U.S. Federal Trade Commission's Endorsement Guides require this, and so do we. "Clearly and conspicuously" means the disclosure is easy to notice where the code appears — in the caption near the link rather than behind a "more" tap, in the video itself rather than only the description, and in plain language ("I earn a commission if you use this code"). Following the rules of the platform you are posting on does not replace this obligation. Failure to disclose is grounds for suspension and for reversing the commission on affected referrals.

10. Suspension and termination

Meshi may suspend or end your participation at any time — for a breach of these terms, for suspected fraud, or because we are changing or closing the program. On suspension your code stops working at checkout and no new referrals attach to you; commission you have already earned stays on your ledger and is paid out under the normal hold and minimum rules, unless it was earned in breach of these terms. You may leave the program at any time by asking us to close it; the same treatment of earned commission applies.

11. Taxes

You are solely responsible for any tax on what you earn here, including income tax and any sales, VAT or GST that applies to you. Meshi does not withhold tax on your behalf. Stripe collects your tax details as part of payout onboarding and, where required, issues the corresponding tax forms — in the United States, a 1099 when your earnings cross the reporting threshold. Keeping those details accurate is your responsibility, and payouts can be held if they are missing or fail verification.

12. Liability

Meshi's total liability arising out of the program is limited to the commission actually owed to you and not yet paid. We are not liable for lost earnings, lost opportunities or any indirect or consequential loss, including any caused by a change to the program, the discount, or your code.

13. Changes to these terms

The figures printed above are the ones in force today. We may change these terms, and we may change the program's rate, commission length, discount, attribution window, hold and minimum payout — this page always renders the current values, and your own rate and duration are shown in your Creator Studio. Material changes are announced to participating creators by email and take effect for referrals made after the change; referrals already earning keep the rate and duration recorded when they first paid. Continuing to share your code after a change means you accept the updated terms.
